Vol 27, Issue 23
Summer is coming!!! We all love summer and sunny days, but you know how much the sun can damage your skin? Hopefully, you do, but if not, don’t worry. This article will give you some tips to protect your skin from the sun.
Many people think that if their skin is not red or doesn’t feel burning, everything is fine. However, the first thing that you should know is that the sun could damage your skin in any situation, and the effects show themselves slowly, and suddenly you see a few brow spots on your skin or feel dryness and a scratch on your skin. Believe these are the simplest symptoms of sunburned skin, so do not forget to do all of these tips to keep your skin healthy.
1- Always use sunscreen and renew it every three hours. The renewal time depends on your sunscreen type, but for most of them is around three hours.
2- Choose the right sunscreen for your skin. Using the wrong sunscreen can cause other skin problems, including dryness, dehydration, or even oiliness.
3- wear sunglasses, not only to protect your eyes, but also for eye skin care. The skin around your eyes is really sensitive, and good quality sunglasses prevent dryness and wrinkles.
4- Drink more water. Drinking more water helps your skin to have more resistance against the sun’s burning. When exposed to sunlight, your skin loses moisture first, and staying hydrated strengthens your skin’s resistance to sun damage.
If you already have sunburn, these tips can help you treat the damage:
1- Try to use more sunscreen indoors or on cloudy days.
2- Wear protective clothing, long-sleeved shirts and pants instead of shorts and skirts.
3- Drink more water and apply cool compresses to the damaged area.
4- Use repairing cream or Aloe vera.
Hope to enjoy your sunny summer and don’t forget skin care!
