The Kymi Kantri Festival is one of the biggest country music festival in the Southeastern region of Finland which is a residents favourite event to enjoy great country music, dance to every rhythm and celebrate the essence of summer with your loved ones. This event is organised annually in the town of Myllykoski, at the Kulttuuritalo Wanha Rautakauppa which is also known as “Kymi Libri”.

The Kymi Kantri 2024 was a huge success, attracting approximately 800 people on both days the country music festival was held. There were more than 10 artists performing to entertain the crowd and the main highlights of the event were the performances by the Iron Country Sisters and Dave Acari from Scotland. The audience did not miss dancing alongside the country dance groups from Kotka and Kouvola.  The renown local artists and bands were Mika Byman, Finnish Highwaymen, Anssi Känsälä Band, EINO, Pekka Tiilikkanen & Beat Makers and Mikko Riihelä & Åsa.

Apart from the bands there were local sellers at the event that added color to the event with their crafts and merchants such as Vinyl records of country music, jewelry made from silverware, caricature drawings by the famous artist Milla Paloniemi who created the “Kiroileva Siili”, clothes and accessary to create your dream cowboy attires, great food and alcoholic and nonalcoholic bevarages from the Pehtoorin Bar.

The excitement is back as the Kymi Kantri 2025 is around the corner. The event is scheduled for 4th– 5th of July 2025 and the tickets can be purchased from Reunan kirjakauppa, Myllykoski 17 and also from www.seat4.me website. Mark your calendar and get ready for a fun filled experience this summer in the heart of Myllykoski, dancing to incredible country music whilst enjoying a cold beer and great food.
