Since I had the chance to participate in the last Nordic Business Forum Seminar on Wednesday and Thursday, I thought it would be useful to write about the concept of this business forum. Before attending, I didn’t know what it was or what would happen during the two-day program. Now, I am glad that I can share my experience and personal impressions with those who like to know more about it. Let’s start with what it is.

What is Nordic Business Forum:

As the name implies, the Nordic Business Forum is a public event for anyone interested in business, innovation, and shaping the future of business. The program was founded in 2010 in Jyväskylä, Finland, but now usually takes place in Helsinki and sometimes in other Nordic capitals. Although it started as a small event, today it attracts more than 7,000 thousands of attendees from more than 50 countries each year. Beyond the physical audiences, tens of thousands also join through live-streaming, making it a truly global experience. Over the years, the forum has hosted many successful and influential guests such as Barack Obama, Brené Brown, and Steve Wozniak. The audience is diverse, ranging from CEOs and managers to young entrepreneurs and students eager to learn more.

The strength of the Nordic Business Forum lies in its ability to combine high-quality content from successful guests with excellent networking opportunities. Each year, participants share insights on sustainability, innovation, leadership, development, and future strategies. Another key feature of  NBF is its focus on current trends and the most important issues in business, such as sustainability, artificial intelligence, and the impact of digitalization.

For example, in the recent forum, which took place on September 24th, the sessions included discussions on how to change workplace culture without losing soul, as well a conversation with one of the leading marketing managers.

In addition to the annual conferences, the organization also publishes podcasts and produces online courses to keep the community connected throughout the year. These resources help participants stay engaged and continue learning long after the event has ended.

The main long-term vision of NBF is to become the most impressive business conference in the world. With its emphasis on quality, inspiration, and meaningful connections, it continues to grow in impact and reputation year after year.
