Asked interesting questions to the students: This is the results.

In this week, we will analyze the responses that I collected from the students in the Kouvola Campus. I asked several questions about student life. And I eliminated some questions because I didn’t satisfied with the answer quality. In some questions, I couldn’t found any correlation between answers. And of course, I will not put every single answer that I got because this article will be much longer than 500 words. I will try to give the most interesting and most popular answers. 

The First Question was: How Many Friends Do You Actually Have in Campus?

This question may be the only question that every single student answered. It was simple.

As seen at the image above (at the title), more than the half of the people have 1-5 friend in campus. Following most popular answer is 6-10 friends. Then the least two answer categories are two opposite ones.

The 2^nd question: how many hours do you study except the lecture hours?

The reason for me to ask this question in my interview’s was gaining a statistic that can be seen in chart. So, I asked, “How many hours you studying daily except in lecture hours in average?”.

In answers, we can clearly see that studying 1 hour daily is the popular answer. I mean it depends on whether you are studying full-time or part-time, but it is expected students to study way more than that.

And good to note, most of the answers came after I tell them that answers are anonymous.

Question 3: What is one thing you spend way too much money on as a student?

I have very surprised by the results. Especially about the alcohol category. I think both local and international students are spending much on alcohol. For commenting about other categories, rent and the grocery answers was predictable. Phone bills in Finland is expensive, so that answer is relatable too.

Last question: What is the university rule that you find unnecessary?

With that question, I wanted to know what is the rule that irritates students most. Of course the results will not mean that these rules should be abolish. This is the answers that I liked the most:

– “Mandatory attendance is not necessary I think that they can know whether we listened the lecture by exam results.”

– “classes are so early” (It is not a rule but I wanted to add)

– “Access tags are unnecessary. The outer doors can be locked, but locking indoors is not reasonable”

– “Being have to sew our overall badges ourselves”  (This is my favourite)
