DuuniExpo 2024

DuuniExpo is one of the largest recruitment fairs held in Finland, organized by LAB University of Applied Sciences Lahti. The recent event was held on 7^th February 2024 in Lahti, drawing over 2000 attendees. The event mainly aimed at job seekers in general but it has given a special focus on undergraduates of universities who actively seek job opportunities. Company representatives from various industries showed for this event in order to provide guidance and career opportunities in their respective organizations for potential candidates.

DuuniExpo 2024 included some valuable workshops together with engaging guest speaker talks. A special career service workshop was conducted collaboratively by LAB & LUT universities focusing on CV developing and providing various solutions for potential job seekers. There was another workshop which concentrated on ‘Network Building’ strategies. The sessions were conducted in Finnish as well as in English languages respectively in auditorium one and two. The welcome speech was given by Turo Kilpeläinen, the CEO & President of LAB University of Applied Sciences. ‘Global Citizenship Skills for Work in Globalizing Economies’ was one of the hot topics presented by Irisa Keahey, an Intercultural expert and founder of UNITE.

This event opened doors for job seekers to explore more about companies and various industries by learning their cultures and business practices. Networking with potential job opportunity providers is one of the many advantages of this event. Participants gained valuable insight into the requirements of the job market and the necessity to get ready for the summer job openings through this extravagant event.
