Recruitment fair for international talents

On Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 a recruitment fair was held  for foreign talent seeking temporary agency employment possibilities at Kaapelitehdas, Kaapeliaukio 3, 00180 Helsinki. The event was a big success, with many organizations and enterprises taking part to attract international talent.

The City of Helsinki, City of Vantaa, Uusimaa TE, Laurea University of Applied Sciences, Personnel Sector HELA Oy and Honkalamedia Oy launched the fair. The organizers had assembled a diverse range of exhibitors including Go On Companies, HELA association, Herizon, HOIVA Oy, InfoFinland, JobNord, JP job hiring Oy, Kaiku HR Oy, Keystaff Oy, Kindergarten, children’s playground, Klario Oy, Towards Finnish working life project (Metropolia AMK), Uusimaa ELY center, Laurea University of Applied Sciences, LiveRing Oy, Luckan Integration, Mapvision Oy, N-Clean and many more.

The exhibitors provided guests with a variety of services and possibilities, including job search support, career advice and information on starting a business in Finland. Some corporations even provided free business counsel to overseas talent who wished to start their own businesses. There were also specialized services available such as a CV picture session and a video bar where specialists assisted guests in creating stunning CVs in Europass format and recording a one minute video pitch to demonstrate their talents and abilities. Representatives from Finnish Immigration Services were also there to guide and help international participants with any immigration related questions they might have. This simplified the process of acquiring a residency permit or work visa enabling them to concentrate on seeking acceptable job possibilities.

Overall the recruitment fair provided an excellent opportunity for foreign talent to network with future employers and explore the numerous opportunities accessible to them in Finland. With its varied selection of exhibitors and services the event gave useful insights into the Finnish employment market and assisted guests in taking the initial steps toward establishing a successful career in the nation.
