It is the first full week of lectures after the winter break. The students seem to be excited and it feels great that we have a new set of courses. This week’s articles were great and very useful. I wrote about procrastination because I felt like it is important to remind students about this since they suffer from it the most. The workload can be a lot and students will procrastinate due to stress. I gave few tips on how to overcome this. Lidiia wrote about a student day celebrated in Russia and it is called Tatiana’s day. On this day Russian students will celebrate The holy martyr Tatiana of Rome. It is an interesting read and Lidiia talks about the history of this special day. Vlada discusses in her article sugar and its effects on the body. It is a current topic and people are slowly starting to realizing the dangers of refined sugar. Merveille teaches us about a platform called LinkedIn where professional people connect. As a student, I find this important. When I started this school, I was quite surprised how many people did not have LinkedIn profiles. This is a place where you can find new people to get to know and make a connection. Merveille also mentions that you can even find a job through this platform. Ikram did a book review about a book that has only a few lines on each page. It seems like it is worth the read and Ikram recommends it. Ave-Liis gave us a delicious-sounding recipe. With only a few ingredients you can make a nice dessert after your meal and Ave-Liis put a nice twist to this delicacy.

The articles were well written and I found useful tips. It was interesting learning about the Holy martyr Tatiana’s day and get a book recommendation. I will be checking this book out.
