The perfect cheesecake
My absolute favorite dessert since I was a teenager is well-made cheesecake. It is a very refreshing and delicious dessert. It does not contain a lot of sugar and can be even considered healthy (that is what tell myself). In all honesty, the cream cheese that is often used contains lots of vitamin A and fat which we all need in moderation. The recipe is easy, and you do not even need an oven.
Here is my favorite recipe that I came up with.
You will need one pack of Oreo cookies, 75g of butter, 400g of Philadelphia cream cheese, 4 gelatin sheets, 3tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2dl of whipped cream, and 2 tablespoons of boiling water.
For the topping, you will need 2 jars of mango sauce (the one for the babies and any flavor of your choice), 2 gelatin sheets, and 2 tablespoons of boiling water.
- Crush the cookies with the melted butter and spread the baking paper on the bottom of the springform pan. Then spread the mixture evenly in the pan.
- Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for 5min.
- Mix sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and cream cheese. Whisk the whipped cream until it’s smooth.
- Melt the gelatin sheets with 2 tablespoons of hot water. Add it then to the cream cheese mixture.
- Add the whipped cream to the mixture and mix them thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into the pan quickly, spread evenly, and put it in the fridge for 5 hours.
The topping:
- Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for 5min.
- Boil 2 tablespoons of water, add the sheets and the mango sauce.
- Mix properly and put the mixture on top of the cake and let it sit in the fridge for another 2 hours.
- Be patient and enjoy!
