Feng Shui

Features

You can use simple principles of Feng Shui to organize and transform your space. Moreover, this philosophy interacts perfectly with the minimalist style. In this article, I will help you introduce feng shui into your space.

What is Feng Shui?

Taoism is philosophical teaching that originated in China in the 4th century. BC. Tao translates as “way” or “road” and describes a free way of life in harmony with nature.

The ancient Taoists who developed the art of Feng Shui, as a result, decided to separate their school. They expanded the scope of the study to the formation of the environment and how it synchronizes with natural energy flows (called “qi”).

The main idea is centred around a practical approach to enhancing your interaction with the world around you. By following the principles of Feng Shui, you can create a beautiful and harmonious space that creates a feeling of peace, renewal, and happiness.

Feng Shui things for home

Houseplants (ground)

Earn earth-elemental benefits by caring for a lush green houseplant. The most persistent and unpretentious houseplant, for example, a zuzu in a minimalist pot of neutral tones, will be an excellent element of a Feng Shui home.

Natural candles (fire)

Introduce the element of fire with candles made from natural non-toxic waxes and wicks. You can use candles based on soy or beeswax.

Air purifier (air)

According to Feng Shui, we need to breathe the cleanest air, but what should we do if we live in a city where the air is highly polluted? Use air purifiers or filters to correct the problem.

Glassware (water)

One of the best ways to capitalize on the water element is to display the flow of water. But you may not enjoy living near a water source or fountain in your home. Do not close the taps – this is also, of course, not an option. So what can you do? Materials such as crystal, mirror and glass are considered “representatives” of the water element.

Stainless steel (metal)

Stainless steel is an alloy of several elements with earth metals such as iron and nickel. In addition, it is one of the most reliable materials, because such steel is strong, resistant to rust and destruction, and also has a noticeable but pleasing to the eye shine. You can bring the element of metal into your home with a silver-tone stainless steel cutlery set.

Things made of wood (wood)

You can incorporate wood into your home in a variety of ways, such as wood floors, wood furniture, or other decorative elements. A beautiful and practical piece of natural wood, like a handmade chopping board, is an easy way to combine aesthetics and functionality.

Out of respect for this philosophy and its followers, I must say that Feng Shui is much deeper than the basic concepts described in this article. Pay attention to space you create around you and you will be happier and healthier. And this positive state will spread to other areas of your life.
