The use of games in the classroom has been shown to increase student engagement, foster social and emotional learning, and motivate students to take calculated risks. According to a study, youngsters who played the popular multiple-choice quiz game improved their study skills and received better grades. The speed of responses has increased. They advocate for teamwork. They promote concentration, creativity, and mental clarity. They also improve leadership and strategy. There are classes for languages. They also create critical thinking. Many parents are wary of video games and do not want them in the house because they think will negatively affect their kid’s academic performance. But playing video games can enhance focus, creativity, memory, language skills, and teamwork. 

GAME-BASED LEARNING’S ESSENTIAL:

Thanks to game-based learning, video games have positive effects on education as well. In order to impart knowledge to students, this teaching style makes use of video games’ positive characteristics. Based on important elements: Education is given new life by this game, which turns studying into an exciting game without the tedious teachings. Nearly subconsciously, students absorb and remember information. The main characters of the story are students and their accomplishment is celebrated with medals, bonus points, additional lives, and other rewards, which increases motivation. Through this, their interest in learning is maintained. Giving pupils the chance to practice without putting themselves at risk allows them to put their newfound knowledge into practice. In particular, this is the purpose of light and navigation simulators. 

PLAYING VIDEO GAMES HAS MANY BENEFITS:

Numerous studies have been conducted on how video games affect society. Research determining how much time kids should spend playing video games was published in the journal. He came to the conclusion that individuals who played for less than an hour were more emotionally stable, whereas those who played for about three hours a day experienced social issues. So, when it comes to video games, moderation is crucial because there are other advantages outside only enhancing learning abilities. Let’s look at some of them. Games can be used as a support tool to supplement conventional teaching techniques to enhance the learning experience of the students and teach additional skills such as rule-following, adaption, problem-solving, and good sportsmanship. While playing games, students are motivated to learn, pay attention, and take part in the duties that have been given to them. Playing games helps students take responsibility for their own learning and collaborate with others. They may also be a great motivator and management tool in the classroom. 

Group Tasks:

Sometimes, students, have debate task in groups or pairs at their schools or universities. They match, sorting, rating tasks that require cooperation in a pair or group. Activities or games with a competitive element, such as acting and drama performances. Games and puzzles that encourage knowledge sharing, such as barrier games.
